Build Financial Habits That Actually Stick

Most people abandon budgets within three weeks. We've spent years figuring out why—and what works instead. Our approach focuses on small, realistic shifts that fit your actual life, not some perfect spreadsheet fantasy.

How Learning Unfolds

We've designed this around the questions people actually ask—before they sign up, during the programme, and months after they've finished.

1
Before

What's different about this?

Our October 2025 cohort starts with a live session where you map your current spending patterns—not to judge them, but to spot the friction points. Most budgeting courses skip this step entirely. We don't teach theory first; we start with where you're stuck right now.

2
During

Can I actually keep up with this?

The programme runs for twelve weeks, but the weekly time commitment averages about two hours. One participant last year had three kids under six—she still finished. We've built in flexibility because life happens. Miss a session? The recordings include timestamps for the parts that matter most to your situation.

3
After

What happens when the course ends?

Six months after finishing, about 78% of our graduates still use the tracking system they built during the programme. We check in quarterly via email with practical tips based on what's working for others. And if you need a refresher, our alumni community meets the second Tuesday of each month to share what's changed.

4
Ongoing

When things get complicated?

Circumstances change. New job, salary shift, unexpected expenses—we've seen it all. Alumni can book office hours twice a year to adjust their approach. One graduate came back when her freelance income became unpredictable; we spent forty minutes adapting her system. That kind of support doesn't expire with the course.

What You'll Work Through

These aren't modules you tick off—they're challenges you solve with guidance. Each builds on actual financial situations our participants brought to us.

Mapping Your Money Flow

Most people guess where their money goes. You'll track one full month with a system simple enough to maintain. We'll identify three specific areas where small changes create noticeable impact—usually within the first fortnight.

Weeks 1-3 Practical tracking Real receipts

Building Slack Into the System

Rigid budgets break when life gets messy. You'll create buffer zones for the unpredictable stuff—car repairs, birthday gifts, that dentist bill. We'll show you how people with irregular income handle this differently than those with steady salaries.

Weeks 4-6 Emergency prep Flexible planning

Decisions Under Pressure

When you're standing in the shop trying to decide if you can afford something, theory doesn't help. You'll develop quick mental checks that work in the moment. We'll practice with scenarios that actually happened to past participants.

Weeks 7-9 Real scenarios Quick tools

Making It Automatic

The best systems run in the background. You'll set up monthly reviews that take fifteen minutes or less. We'll identify the three numbers you need to watch and ignore everything else. Simplicity keeps people consistent.

Weeks 10-12 Maintenance mode Minimal effort

The Details That Matter

Programme Structure

Twelve weeks starting October 7th, 2025. Live sessions Tuesday evenings at 7pm GMT. Each runs ninety minutes with optional Q&A afterwards. You'll need spreadsheet software (free options work fine) and about two hours weekly for exercises.

Who This Helps

Works best for people earning between £22,000 and £55,000 annually. If you're managing household finances, self-employed, or just tired of wondering where your money went, this fits. We've had teachers, delivery drivers, freelance designers—income source matters less than the desire to take control.

What You'll Need

Bank statements from the past three months. A notebook (digital or paper). Willingness to look honestly at your spending—this isn't about shame, but you can't fix what you won't examine. Basic maths skills. That's genuinely it.

Elara Thornwood

I'd tried four different budgeting apps before this. They all made me feel like I was failing. This programme showed me I wasn't bad with money—I just needed a system that worked with my brain instead of against it. Three months later, I've got £800 saved and I'm not panicking about rent day.
